The Q&A: Whit Stillman: The anti-mumblecore film-maker | The Economist

I'm not the biggest Whit Stillman fan, but considering that his latest movie features a main character named Violet whose best friend's name is Lily, that might be a sign that I might have to see it...

The Q&A: Whit Stillman: The anti-mumblecore film-maker | The Economist: “DAMSELS in Distress”, in cinemas in both America and Britain, is the first film by Whit Stillman since "The Last Days of Disco" of 1998. It is about a group of young women at a small (and invented) American college who are trying, very earnestly, to improve the lives of their fellow students, largely by teaching them to tap-dance.
